Did you know that in a poll of 2000 consumers, the findings of which were featured in The Independent in November 2019, Fish & Chips were reported as the nation's favourite takeaway. Battered fish is six times more popular than battered sausage and our love of a chippy tea easily outstrips other popular takeaways, including Chinese and Indian options.
Furthermore, in a YouGov poll of 6000 people, Fish & Chips achieved the highest status of appreciation and is featured in the "God Tier" of British foods. 84% of Brits who have tried them say they like them. Fish & Chips features alongside other classic dishes including Yorkshire pudding, the classic Sunday roast and a full English breakfast. All of these are good company for the humble and ever popular Fish & Chips!
