We’re passionate about sustainability and have a long history of sourcing seafood that meets the exacting standards of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) (MSC-C- 54162).

To meet the MSC Fisheries Standards, fish must be sourced from a fishery that meets these three principles:

  1. Sustainable fish stocks
  2. Minimising environmental impact
  3. Effective fisheries management

Before the final finished product can be certified, it must meet the MSC Chain of Custody Standard. Every company in the supply chain must have a valid Chain of Custody certificate. Businesses are audited by independent certification bodies to confirm they meet the five key principles:

  1. Satisfy demand
  2. Enhance trust
  3. Strengthen loyalty
  4. Show you’re well managed
  5. Plenty of choice

At Pacific West, we’re proud to carry a range of MSC certified sustainable seafood including Hoki, Cod in Bites, Fillets and Goujons, Coldwater Prawns and Petite Sole Fillets.
